Emmy and Grammy Winning Musical Director Paul Bogaev To Direct Dallas Debut of This is NOT A Drill, December 9-10, 2021

Holly Doubet is pleased to announce that Paul Bogaev has officially accepted the role of Music Director for 38 Minutes. Paul is a multiple award-winning music director, arranger, conductor, and composer whose talents have earned two Grammys for Aida (Elton John and Tim Rice) and film musical Chicago. His film credits also include Nine, Dreamgirls, Across the Universe, Mulan, and The Lion King.

Writer, composer, and native-Texan Holly Doubet originally met Paul through her co-writer, Kathy Babylon, whose late husband had worked with him on Aida and Lion King.

After his initial review of the musical score, 38 Minutes, Paul contacted Holly saying, “Holly- I think you definitely have got something here” and accepted Holly’s request to join the production in the role of musical director.

Paul brings a wealth of invaluable experience to Holly Doubet’s musical production about events Holly experienced over the course of 38 minutes while in Hawaii in January 2018, when the islands received an official alert that a ballistic missile was headed in their direction.

Paul will be working closely with Holly to bring 38 Minutes to life, casting performers, rehearsing singers, and conducting the musical.
